MacDonald Home Construction utilizes the talents of four main individuals in its day to day operations:

• Russ Rumsey
• Mark Paulin
• Star Berry

Russ Rumsey Custom Builder Owner
Russ has owned a home in the Cashiers area since 1973. Russ and his family would visit the mountains during time away from his Florida construction company. It was Russ’s dream to move his family and business to the mountains. So in 1993 he moved to the area permanently and bought MacDonald Real Estate which is now MacDonald Home Construction. Russ, Margaret and their three daughters love the small town life and feel blessed to live in such a beautiful area.
Mark Paulin Project Manager Superintendent
Mark visited the Cashiers area for the first time in 1988 on a family vacation. Mark and his family liked the area so much that one year later they made it their home.  It was in 1996 that Russ met Mark at a mutual friends house and immediately asked him to join MacDonald Home Construction. Since then Mark has supervised and been responsible for the construction process from start to finish of over 50 homes.
