Russ Rumsey

Russ has
owned a home in the Cashiers
area since 1973. Russ and
his family would visit the
mountains during time away
from his Florida
construction company. It was
Russ’s dream to move his
family and business to the
mountains. So in 1993 he
moved to the area
permanently and bought
MacDonald Real Estate which
is now MacDonald Home
Construction. Russ,
Margaret and their three
daughters love the small
town life and feel blessed
to live in such a beautiful
area.

Mark visited
the Cashiers area for the
first time in 1988 on a
family vacation. Mark and
his family liked the area so
much that one year later
they made it their home.
It was in 1996 that Russ met
Mark at a mutual friend's
house and immediately asked
him to join MacDonald
Home Construction. Since
then Mark has supervised and
been responsible for the
construction process from
start to finish of over 50
homes.

Tim is MacDonald Home Construction's newest staff additionand Company Vice President. A graduate of the nearby Western Carolina University and a resident of Cashiers since 1995. Tim has a great love for the beautiful outdooors of the Western North Carolina Mountains. Since his start at the end of November 2008, Tim has concentrated on Marketing and Sales for the company. Tim is highly involved in the company and works along side Russ and Mark in the areas of Office Management and Construction Management. Tim looks forward to bringing new life to the business with strong work ethics and a positive, energetic outlook on the future.
